On the occasion of the 5th anniversary of the Paris Agreement, France renews its mobilization in the face of the climate emergency.
The organization of COP21 and the adoption of the Paris Climate Agreement on December 12, 2015 represented a milestone in French diplomacy. They also recalled that it was necessary to act collectively, in the interest of all, for current and future generations.
To celebrate this anniversary, in addition to political and diplomatic actions such as the Climate Ambition Summit, we have decided to bring together and mobilize again all those who contribute to raising awareness of the need for joint action. For this reason, we have launched an artistic, committed and positive action for the climate. The project has been carried out with the Art of Change 21 association, which created Maskbook during COP21.
We asked figures from all over the world if they wanted to participate in the making of an original video in which they would wear masks designed by artists from around the world, made with recycled materials and with a message for the climate. By agreeing to participate in the project, these figures and artists whose identity they will be able to discover on the Ministry's social networks have wanted to support the fight against climate change in a charitable way.
The Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs would like to thank you for your participation. You also don't want to stop thanking the Schneider Foundation for their work on this action.
We especially thank Fabiola Yáñez, First Lady of the Argentine Republic and Andrea Juan, the artist who made the mask. The mask tells us: "The environment is in my face. The mask reflects the environment around me. If it is healthy, my face will be great." Also, we thank photographer Alejandra López.
