Ancestors 2024
Let us honor our ancestors, they told us as children so that we do not forget our grandfathers and grandmothers, and in childhood one does not fully understand the importance of this phrase that only as we walk we begin to understand.
There are those who have great ancestors, there are those who do not, and we begin to think how deserving we are of the inheritance they have left us, if it is a lot, if it is a little, if it is just or not, but the truth is that it is up to us to honor those teachings and transform them into something better.
In this, already, fourth edition of this beautiful project in which each artist is linked to that inheritance, we are so excited and enjoy the results.
In gratitude to those who guide us and to those we guide and to the art that allows us to express ourselves, Ancestors IV is opening.
I hope it is to your absolute pleasure.
Natalia Giacchetta
Ancestors is a project conceived and generated jointly by Natalia Giachetta from Centro de Edición of Buenos Aires, Argentina and us, from SM Pro Art Circle, in Tagle, Cantabria, Spain and is based on the creation of unpublished works by a group of artists selected by Centro de Edición, and with whom we work remotely in this magical process that is ANCESTORS, to finally share their works on the website and present the pieces in this exhibition, in our space, NAT ART SPACE, here in Cantabria.
In this fourth edition we have gotten to know more deeply some of the artists with whom we have gone through experiences and emotions throughout these years and with others it has been our first and intense encounters. In all cases, surprise, shock and enthusiasm prevailed at all times.
Creating from nothing is the premise, creating with passion and desire. With emotion.
We are proud and happy with the process we have gone through and the works we have completed, because they have all come from an unexpected place, from the heart, as if out of the blue, and with the desire to tell us many things….
Enjoy it!!! As we are doing…
Thank you very much, dear Nati, once again for your complicity and dedication.
